On a crystal clear Autumn day, thousands of music fans battled the 32* degree heat in Melbourne to attend one of the year’s biggest music festivals – Future.

Spanning across the hallowed Flemington Racecourse, punters were spoilt with ten stages with jam packed set lists to ensure every taste was catered for.

And if crowds needed a break from all the infectious dancing and commotion, there were plenty of escapes – including carnival rides, foam parties and more.

My day started right when doors opened at 12pm, and my friend and I headed towards the Safari stage to catch Joel Fletcher’s set. Unfortunately we were not aware at the time that the DJ has cancelled his appearance. Although this was a shame, I was pleasantly surprised to see one of my favourite DJ’s, Tigerlily, in his place on the decks.

Tigerlily is a real up and comer in the DJ scene, and was the perfect way to kick off a massive day. Her bright teal hair stood out against the jungle-themed stage as she played classic dance tunes for the crowd and made way for the next act – Will Sparks.
