The real reason we dragged ourselves along was to catch up with friends and it was great to see Mim, Emma and Anne-Maree – so there we were, five Aussies partying in South London (although Mim was working, not partying). Estiva’s set was much as it had been at the Enhanced show in Sydney recently … he does the warm-up duties very well. Inevitably we heard Above & Beyond – Sun And Moon, but it was nice to hear him drop Arty and Mat Zo – Rebound, which he told me later he had played a lot recently in response to Will.I.Am ripping them off.

We didn’t hang around for much of Dash Berlin’s set. He did drop some decent tunes early on, however, such as Rank 1 – Airwave and Ferry Corsten feat. Betsie Larkin – Not Coming Down ((Dash Berlin 4AM Remix). But we were more interested in the Belvedere vodka available in the room at the back!

We returned to the Box for Menno de Jong’s closing set from 4 till 6am. It was, as we expected, gloriously trancey … but I was a bit too away with it all to take notes or remember what he played – he did drop the fantastic Sneijder remix of Ben Gold feat. The Glass Child – Fall With Me. A great way to end a bigger night than we had expected, and one that I greatly enjoyed, despite my dislike of Dash Berlin (and to be fair to him, the parts of his set that we caught were far and away better than what we heard of him in Miami in March, or Sydney last November).
